Being a teacher not only means doing your job professionally by arriving in class every morning and delivering stimulating lessons to pupils or students of the school. Being a teacher, in most cases, also and above all means establishing a relationship of affection and mutual trust between the school teacher and the children. The elementary school teacher is called Alexandra Stamps, lives in Wichita, Kansas, and works at the McLean Science and Technology Magnet Elementary School; in July 2021 she had arranged to marry her beloved partner Mason McDowell, also a teacher but of a middle school and so she decided to make her upcoming wedding a truly joyful party full of emotion and surprises.

One day, while she was in class for her usual lesson, she made an exciting proposal to her little pupils: she asked the girls in the class if they wanted to be her bridesmaids for the upcoming wedding, while the boys were to be special witnesses for her. Needless to say, the overwhelming reaction was enthusiasm and immense happiness!

Alexandra is truly a very special and much loved elementary school teacher, and for reason this she knew that her little pupils would accept immediately; Mason managed to do the same thing with his eighth grade class: "We spend more than 40 hours a week with them and we both really love our students so much. And so I thought it would be fun to include them in the celebrations instead of just having them in the audience."

And so, 18 kids from Alexandra's fifth grade and 19 from Mason's eighth grade got all dressed up to celebrate the wedding between their two favorite teachers: the religious ceremony and then the following reception were a riot of bridesmaids in white dresses and cute little witnesses in elegant black suits and white shirts!

Alexandra said: "I just wanted to include them in this special part of my life. I want them to be part of it because I am so proud of the hard work they have done this year and the fact that not only have they survived the pandemic, but they have had the opportunity to grow in every sense, and I've also seen them grow as people this school year, they deserve to be at the altar with me!
