We all have opportunities when we're couples: it's not unusual to have a conversation with your partner about whether or not to welcome a child (or children) in the home. However, what is planned rarely comes true, because life is full of the unexpected: it can happen that those who dream of having one child find themselves expecting twins, or those who want to adopt a single child in the end choosing to welcome three children. This is what happened to Lena and KC, two women in love who - after getting married - decided to adopt a child.

The two attended an event sponsored by Children's Friend, a non-profit child welfare organization, and immediately fell in love with a three-year-old boy named Joey. The organizers of the event and the organization team noticed their chemistry with the little one and helped them adopt Joey. However, the two discovered that Joey had two other brothers: Noah - two years old - and Logan, one. The youngest was already living with a foster family, so KC and Lena decided to ask to adopt Noah.

A few months later, it emerged that the adoption of Logan, the youngest, had not been a success. At this that point, the two mothers did not hesitate and applied to adopt Logan too: "They are three biological brothers. We believe it is of fundamental importance not to separate them: it would be wonderful for them to grow up together", they commented.

Veronica Listerlund, director of adoptions for Children's Friend, was impressed by the way in which the two women took care of all three little brothers: "These children are now in excellent hands: Lena and KC understand perfectly what they need to do for the children. In addition to shelter, food, clothing and a healthy environment to grow up in, the couple also know and support the value of strong sibling relationships and its long-term impact. They are amazing mothers."

The kids love both of their adoptors and have come up with nicknames to distinguish them: KC is "mama", while Lena is "mamy", but they also call her "mommy" from time to time. During the adoption ceremony, the three little ones brought toy hammers to play as judges formalizing the adoption. Now, thanks to Lena and KC, these wonderful children have a future full of love and tenderness in front of them.
