Organizing a holiday is certainly a pleasant activity that everyone wants to experience, but the most uncomfortable part of a trip is journey getting there. In fact, a flight lasting many hours is not the most fun under normal conditions, but imagine waking up with a baby crawling all over you: this can make things a lot worse.

This is what happened to a young woman who shared her experience on TikTok in a video on her @DiaryOfASoloTraveller account. The young woman recalled a flight that left her shaken.

In the clip - which has garnered hundreds of views - the young woman explained that she had just settled into her window seat to start the six-hour flight when a woman asked her if she would prefer to sit in an aisle seat. "It's always good to ask…but I declined. I had the window seat and I like that position," she said.

The woman who asked - and who was traveling with her baby and wanted to sit next to her husband - was reportedly very surprised the refusal. But, the young woman explained that she didn't think much about it and fell asleep before the plane took off. "A few minutes later, I woke up to a baby crawling on top of me, while the mother did nothing to stop it. I think out of spite, this woman refused to discipline her son," she said. "I didn't know what to do. So I forced myself to sleep through the most uncomfortable flight of my life," she concluded. This story has generated a lot of heated debate online.

“So switch seats next time and don't be so inflexible,” commented one user, while another responded to this criticism by writing: “How about buying a window seat if you want to sit by the window?”. In fact, most of the users sided with the young woman, stating that the mother should have booked seats in advance if she wanted to sit next to her husband. Others, however, asked the young woman why she hadn't done anything: "Why didn't you call the flight attendant? They would have fixed everything in an instant," wrote a user.

What would you have done in this young woman's shoes?
