We come across many people in our lives that, due to the different hardships they suffered in life, are forced to live in extreme poverty. This doesn't mean, however, that they've lost their sense of humanity or ability to sympathize with other people or even animals.

Martin, for example, is a homeless man who lives in San Juan de Lurigancho, Peru. Given his circumstances, Martin sometimes has no other choice but to break the law in order to survive. This does not mean, however, that Martin has lost all sense of decency. Confronted by a group of people looking to get rid of their cat, Martin decided give the cat a chance and welcomed him with open arms.

It seems that the family really didn't care whether the cat found another home or not. They were just looking for a place to dump him so that they wouldn't have to deal with finding him another home. That's when Martin stepped in and told them he'd take care of the cat until he found him another home.

As the weeks passed by, many people started getting curious about Martin's newfound pet. He usually wonders the streets of the peruvian city by himself, but now, all of a sudden, he has a cat. That's when José Enrique Bustamante Lozano, one of the many people who encounter Martin on a daily basis, decided to share the cat's story.

José's photo was shared across several social media networks and, within a few days, several people were asking how they could get ahold of Martin to adopt the cat. We hope that this poor little cat will find a stable home soon. One thing's for sure, he is luck to have Martin to look after him until he finds a new home.
