Needless to try to deny it! Today's weddings are often real luxury events.

In fact, brides and grooms - and their families - spend a lot of money to make sure that, on that day, everything is perfect, opulent, and frequently "designed".

Therefore, often everyone involved ends up almost forgetting that the basis of a beautiful decision like that of getting married should be love, purity, and the simple desire to be together.

Fortunately, however, this is not always true, and there are many couples who, also thanks to a limited budget, decide to opt for alternative and original solutions.

This is the case of Natalia and Bernardo, two Brazilian newlyweds who, realizing that the wedding ceremony and reception would be a huge expense for a limited event, decided, without any second thoughts, to just skip the whole thing!

Let's see what they did in place of a traditional wedding...

Instead of spending a lot of money, time, and effort on a wedding ceremony with the obligatory expensive reception and dinner, the two chose to spend time and money traveling around the world.

Moreover, the around-the-world trip experienced by the Brazilian couple was certainly not a simple honeymoon, but a real adventure.

As a matter of fact, the two young newly-weds packed up and left for five months to travel to Thailand, Spain, Portugal, Vietnam, Italy, Holland and many other countries in Europe, Asia, and South America.

It is clear, then, that to define this incredible adventure experienced by Natalia and Bernardo, as a "honeymoon" is at the very least reductive.

What is more, traveling is a beautiful way to spend one's time and money, because it means acquiring knowledge by discovering and comparing new places, cultures, people, and traditions. In short, it is an opportunity to open one's mind.

Therefore, such out-of-the-ordinary choices as the one made by this Brazilian coupled are welcomed as it demonstrates how their mutual desire for an exciting adventure together is as beautiful a memory of their marriage - if not more - than an expensive wedding ceremony and reception full of guests, opulence, and extravagances planned mostly to show off.

Certainly, this is an experience that they will carry forever in their hearts and memories, and which we hope will be an example for many other couples looking for a way to have a truly special wedding.
