A close brush with Death! Distraction or a deliberate dare?!

The person who posted this video wrote: "This is the closest brush with death you can get!"

He continues telling his story by saying: "I was driving my 18-wheeler truck at a speed of 90 km / h (56 m/h) when in the distance I saw a car fast approaching the intersection. If I had not slowed down, things would have gone quite differently!".

Do you think it was an absurd case of distraction or a kind of (crazy) test? A moment of dangerous disattention or a deliberate dare?!
