When you invite someone to a restaurant, do you usually pay for the entire meal or do you split the bill? Generally, if one invites someone out to dinner, one would certainly not expect the guest pay the entire bill: do you agree? A woman described repeated, unpleasant experiences she had on Reddit with her sister-in-law, who repeated pretended to forget her wallet at when it came to paying the restaurant bill. This was very unfair and the woman decided to get revenge.

The woman described her sister-in-law "Amy" (a fictitious name keep her anonymous) as a 26-year-old girl who often visits and stays with her and her husband. Instead of going to a hotel, Amy lodges herself at the house of her brother and sister-in-law. What disturbs the woman most, however, is the fact that Amy often wants to go to new, expensive restaurants. Despite earning a lot, Amy says that she cannot afford to pay for the the meals. Amy, in fact, always uses the same trick: once in a restaurant, at the end of the meal, she states that she forgot her wallet at the house. Every time, therefore, her brother and sister-in-law are forced to pay the bill in its entirety. Although the woman asked Amy to pay a bill at least once, the 26-year-old parasite has never done this. And this is how the woman came up with a great idea to unmask her sister-in-law's stingy behavior.

"Last night (Amy) booked for an extremely expensive restaurant and before I went, I made it clear that I would not pay her bill," the woman stated. "This is where I might have been a bit mean. As we were about to leave for the restaurant, she and my husband got into the car, while I pretended I had forgotten something and went back the house. I found her wallet sitting on top of her suitcase. So, I put it in my bag and we went to the restaurant", continued the woman. When it was time to pay the bill at the end of the meal, Amy pulled the same trick: "Oh dear, I must have forgotten my wallet." This is where the woman acted and pulled her sister-in-law's wallet out of her purse: "You mean, this wallet?"

Amy was furious, of course, and told her sister-in-law not to rummage through her things anymore. Most Reddit users have supported the woman in this small but effective "revenge" against her sister-in-law. Do you agree, or would you have acted differently?
