We do not necessarily have to like the boyfriends of our sisters, mothers or aunts, not least because the world is so varied and you never know who we are dealing with. A young woman told Reddit how much she dislikes her sister's boyfriend - for various reasons - and how he wasn't invited to her graduation party. Her sister, however, told her that she would show up with her boyfriend anyway, since they were now "a couple". The young woman then told her sister that they had better not both show up, causing a real family tragedy in the process.

The young woman (22) explained the story to Reddit users saying that she didn't want her sister's boyfriend (24) at her graduation party. Her simple explanation was that she never liked her "brother-in-law to-be". From the very first day, when her sister introduced him to the family, nobody liked him due to his bad manner. "He was a very rude young man," said the woman, "he seemed to have no manners at all. The first time I met him, he told my sister that he thought my family was a joke. My sister stopped telling me anything about him because she knew I didn't like him."

As if this weren't enough, her sister's boyfriend cheated on her with his ex - with whom he had had 3 children. The young woman hoped that this would be the moment when the two would separate forever; and in fact, her sister immediately packed up her boyfriend's things and ordered him to leave. Unfortunately, the separation only lasted about 24 hours, as the young man decided to propose to her. "He proposed to her and made a speech about how much he loves her and how he can't live without her. My sister cried with happiness and said yes to him. What a mess... ," the sister stated.

The decision to marry was undoubtedly a personal choice of the sister, albeit questionable. So what does the graduation party have to do with this? Well, the young woman said she invited her sister, but not her fiancé to the ceremony. Now that the two are planning to get married, however, the ban on him attending the celebration became a major issue. Obviously, the two sisters quarreled over this: "I told my sister I don't want him at my graduation party. She said I was being unreasonable and that I should understand that now they are a couple, both of them should be invited to the event. She offended me and said that after everything we've been through together as sisters, I'm “letting hate win.” But I feel like I'm fully justified in not wanting him to attend, to be honest. But did I do the right thing?" she asked her Reddit audience.

What do you think? Was the young woman right not to invite her future brother-in-law?
