In today's society, there's no other way to age but to age "gracefully". As we get older, we're constantly looking for ways to reduce the wrinkles on our faces so that we can look years younger and healthier. Perhaps what most people don't know is that the area to show the first signs of aging is not on your face but the skin around your neck. This is because there are fewer sebaceous glands located on the neck, which help keep the skin from losing its elasticity and firmness.

With the 6 practical tips we've provided below, however, the skin around your neck will get the attention it deserves and will be looking better in no time!

Use sunscreen: The sun can age skin drastically without the proper protection. Make sure you are putting sunscreen on your neck anytime you go outside, especially if it's sunny. Our habit is to only put it on when we go to the beach or know we are going to be exposed to the sun for an extended period. If we want to protect our neck from signs of aging, we should be putting it on everyday.

Use a moisterizer: Just like your face, it's important to keep the skin on your neck hydrated. You don't even need to buy an expensive moisterizer, just make sure that it keeps your skin feeling moisterized throughout the day. Two times a day should be sufficient: apply it once in the morning and once in the evening before you go to bed.

Maintain good posture: It sounds silly, but your posture can have an effect on how well the skin around your neck ages. If you have bad posture or spinal issues, it could cause the skin around your neck to age more quickly, causing more wrinkles over time.

Exfoliate at least once a week: Another simple tip is to exfoliate your neck once a week. The longer you let dead skin cells sit on your neck, the faster your skin will age. To eliminate dead skin cells, exfoliate your neck with granulated sugar, baking soda, or sea salt. You can mix it together with honey, yogurt, or natural oils to give your neck a refreshing smell after you've exfoliated.

Eat right: Your diet has a nigg impact on your skin's health. Eating a balanced diet, rich in vitamins and minerals like omega 3 and 6 will help your body produce more collagen and aid in the regeneration of skin cells.

Exercise regularly: Exercising regularly and maintaining good posture go hand in hand. If you exercise regularly, your body is in better shape and thus promotes healthy skin cell regeneration and elesticity.

These are just a few natural and cost-effective ways to keep your neck looking firm and healthy. We hope you will give them all a try and tell us what you think!
