It's no secret that the Coronavirus is making everyone's life a little more difficult. Some people, however, are having more difficulty than others. Certain elderly couples, who've been together for a lifetime, are now being forced to spend some time apart. In Nick Avtges's case, he's had to spend months apart from his wife, who lives in a nursing home and, due to safety measures, is not allowed to have visitors; not even her husband. To demonstrate how much he loves and misses his wife, Nick decided to take matters into his own hands. With help from his daughter, the 88-year-old rented a crane and delivered a message to his wife from a three-story window.

Maybe it's true what they say, that love knows no bounderies. In Nick's case, it knows no heights. He and his wife, Marion, have been married for 61 years and they are still in love with each other as much as they were 61 years ago. The pandemic has definitely kept them from being able to see each other, but deep down they are more united now than ever.

With the help of his daughter, Nick rented a crane, which hoisted him right to Marion's window on the 3rd floor of her nursing home. With a preventive face mask and gloves on, Nick held up a message that read "I love you, sweetheart". They are simple words, but his actions made up for it. Completely taken over by emotion, Marion pressed her hand against the window, right where her husband's was.

It's not something you see everyday, where a man hoists himself up to a 3rd story window just to tell his wife he loves her. This is a story that should inspire us all to go beyond our comfort zone in order to tell our loved ones how much we love them. Way to go, Nick! We hope that you and Marion will be reunited soon!
