A mother never stops being a mother, would you agree? It doesn't matter how old your child is - in your heart your child will always be in need of affection and care. The grandmother who is the subject of this story is proof of this: although she was 98 years old at the time, she did not hesitate to move into the nursing home where her eighty-year-old son was staying so she could continue to take care of him. In short, it is impossible to stop being a parent, even when one's children grow up.

Ada Keating is a 98-year-old mother who lived all her life with her unmarried son, Tom. After a life spent side by side, Ada decided to follow her son when he was transferred to a nursing home. Ada realized she could not be separated from Tom and she decided to move into the same nurning home to be close to him. Tom, who turned 80 in 2016,  needed 24-hour care and consequently, moved into the Moss View care home in Liverpool. His sisters, Barbara and Margi, welcomed the news that their mother would also join Tom in the facility.

The director of the care facility was very impressed by the bond between this mother and her son: 'It is very touching to see the close relationship Tom and Ada share and we are so pleased that we were able to meet both of their needs. It is very rare to see mothers and children together in the same care home and we certainly want to make their time together as special as possible. They are inseparable," the director said.

To the many people who asked Ada why she chose to do what she did, she replied: "You never stop being a mother". What can we say? Judging by the way the two look at each other, Ada is definitely right about this!
