In times of the Coronavirus, we are all keeping our distance from each other. Not because we want to, but because we have to for the sake of our own health and for others. For those who have birthdays during this period, most of them have had to spend it by themselves. This didn't stop one family, however, from celebrating their grandmother's 88th birthday.

Although the family wasn't able to physically spend the day with their grandmother, Norma Gregotio, they celebrated her birthday in a different way. Her grandchildren decided to surprise her by sending her a birthday cake with 1,800 flowers on it. Little did they know, however, that Norma had a surprise of her own for them.

Although Norma is 88, her grandchildren don't give her enough credit for her tecnological saviness. That's why, to their surprise, she was able to take a video of herself lighting the candles on her birthday cake and singing "Happy Birthday" to herself. It was Norma's way of letting her family know how much she appreciated their gift.

Norma's adult children loved the video so much that they shared it on their social media pages. Within minutes, millions of people across the world sent Norma virtual "Happy Birthday" wishes.

Given Norma became such a big hit, she was inspired to record a second video, where she thanked everyone for wishing her a happy birthday. The video is in multiple languages and can be viewed on her granddaughter Jessica's tiktok account at this link: tiktok.com/@jessykay97.

Happy Birthday Norma, and to everyone else who is celebrating their birthdays during the Coronavirus pandemic! Maybe all your birthday wishes come true!
