Coronavirus: a policeman ruins a couple's beach day by putting out their bonfire and telling them to go home

Despite governments' attempts everywhere to enforce various restrictions and mandatory quarantine, the people of Great Britain do not seem worried at all about the dangers surrounding the Coronavirus. The number of confirmed cases (which has almost reached 1,500,000 worldwide as of April 7th, 2020) do not seem to phase them; nor do the number of deaths. Now that Spring has arrived, and the weather has finally warmed up, people are more preoccupied with how they're going to get away with leaving their houses government restrictions are still in effect.

Let's take Great Britain, for example. Although their restrictions aren't as severe as other countries (e.g. Italy), citizens are recommended to stay at home as much as possible. One couple, however, had a different idea on how they were going to spend their time in quarantine. Instead of staying home, they spent it having a bonfire on the beach.

Their "fun in the sun" was cut short, unfortunately, when two police officers spotted them from the beach's boardwalk. We can only thank Dave Strauss for filming and posting the incident on his twitter page; otherwise, we never would've been able to see what happened next. In the video, the two police officers walk toward the couple and, while one of them scolds them for having a bonfire, the other takes a container, fills it with water, and then puts the bonfire out.

Whether you agree with the police officer's actions or not, it's a shame to see how many people are still not taking the Covid-19 epidemic seriously. This is one reason why the number of cases continues to increase thoughout the world. If everyone respected the rules, surely we'd see a decline in cases. Some people, however, just aren't capable of cooperating.
