They announce that there is a newly adopted girl on the plane: all the passengers congratulate the new parents
It had been years since this young couple tried to have a child but, unfortunately, they were unable to obtain the desired results. Now, finally, the new mum and dad can relax at the idea of going home with an 8-day old bundle in their arms. The reason? Caren and Dustin eventually decided to adopt a Colorado girl and to become part of their family in California. On their return flight, the couple received an unexpected surge of affection from the flight attendants and passengers on the plane.
Dustin and Caren had just spent a difficult week, before their journey home, accompanied by 4 large bags and a small bundle - their newly adopted daughter! In the middle of the journey, the little girl woke up and started to fidget, probably because of the need to change her diaper. The flight attendants immediately offered Caren the right support, offering her the use of a table in the back of the plane. Once back in her seat, a passenger complimented the young couple and then wanted to know why they were flying with such a small girl. Dustin quickly gave them the story of the adoption, in short, receiving further compliments and advice from some passengers.
Subsequently, another flight attendant politely questioned the couple about the circumstances that led them to fly with such a small girl. Again, Dustin and Caren explained the story of the adoption, without giving too much weight to it. But it was at that moment that an announcement came from the intercom declaring the presence of a very special guest on board the plane: Caren and Dustin's daughter!
After that, the flight attendant announced that he would come around the cabin with pens and napkins, so as to allow passengers to leave a memory and a wish to the lucky couple.
Flight attendants, Jenny and Bobby, collected around 60 sheets of paper with a special tip or phrase written on it. "Enjoy every moment. Everything flies so fast ..!" or "Save time to go out in the evening" - in short, all useful and sincere advice from those who have already been there!
The couple then asked the flight attendants the reason for that gesture and all that kindness. In response, the attendants replied that many years earlier when they had just married, they received the same treatment; now, they wanted to convey to another couple the same kindness they had received years ago.
In a period when all you do is read bad news in the newspapers and on the news on TV, such news is heartening and warms the soul. Certainly for Dustin and Caren, who chose to share this experience with everyone, by publishing the story on Twitter.
