How many times have you heard that intrusive and annoying ringing in the middle of a beautiful dream, and you reach out for your smartphone or alarm clock, and delay the inevitable awakening by ten minutes? 

Until today they called you lazy, they labeled you a sleepy head and frowned upon this bad habit. But now, you know what to respond!

In fact, two scientific studies link the difficulty of waking up with an intelligence above the norm!

This is what emerges from a scientific research that calls into question the naturalness of waking up on command, with the rhythms of contemporary society. In fact, you do not need to go back far in time to find that the past generations, just before the industrial revolution, fell asleep and woke up according to their own biological rhythm! 

Whoever continues to do "as the ancients did" turns out to be a more serene and creative person who is able to face the challenges of the day more effectively than others.

A further study comes to the rescue of those of us who lead an "irregular" life. This research of the University of Southampton was aimed at verifying Benjamin Franklin's famous maxim that has oppressed the lives of lazy people around the world so much: "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise!" 

Well, investigating the lives of over a thousand subjects researchers have discovered that the so-called "night owls", that is, those who go to sleep after 11:00 PM and get up after 8:00 AM, have a more satisfying career and a more serene life in general.

Now you know what to answer to those who try to make you feel guilty about those "five minutes more" under the covers!
