When traveling, safety is always one of the first factors to be considered, especially if you are traveling by plane, where controls are always very strict. Why, then, has a couple succeeded in the unlikely feat of boarding the wrong flight? The two, of course, just wanted to go home after a short vacation, but realized too late that they had boarded the wrong plane. You can imagine the shock of the couple and the staff, who were absolutely unprepared for such an unexpected event (after all, it is not every day that you make the mistake of catching the wrong plane!).

This is the story of a truly eventful homecoming.

Elise Mallia, a 33-year-old young woman, and her partner Jessy Jezequel, 41, thought they had boarded a return flight that would take them home, to England, and more specifically to Stansted, one of London's airports. The two had just spent a short vacation in France, in Marseille, to attend a football match and had also taken the opportunity to do some sightseeing. They didn't imagine that they would be extending their vacation, by ending up in ... Spain! The couple, in fact, boarded a plane bound for Madrid, realizing their mistake too late to do anything about it.

Elise said: "An hour after take off, Jesse said he thought he heard a flight attendant say Madrid, but we thought he dreamed it. But later we realized that all the flight attendants spoke Spanish. When we asked for clarification, they told us we were going to Madrid and we had no idea how that was even possible. "

Apparently, no one initially believed what the two were saying, but then the couple showed them their boarding passes. It was not possible to understand how, after 3 security checks, no one had noticed the error.

"At first everyone thought we were crazy, until we showed them our boarding passes. How is it possible that nobody noticed our incorrect boarding passes or notice that there were two extra passengers on the flight?" wondered the unfortunate couple who, in the end, managed to get back home some 5 hours later.
