Never let an intruder or an stranger know that you are alone in the house. A small but very simple trick that could save your life. The girl is called Josie Bowers, she's 19 and she told on TikTok what happened to her while she was in her hotel room alone on a family vacation, when she was only 15 years old. While she was in her room and about to take a relaxing shower, Josie heard a very strange noise coming from the hotel room door. She approached and noticed a disturbing detail: a very long wire coming in from the outside, through her door; In no time at all, the man on the other side managed to open it but Josie was quick enough to slam the door and bolt it shut.

But the nightmare for Josie Bowers didn't end there. As the girl said on TikTok, "They told me they were from the hotel and they had to come into the room to change my key card which was broken. So, I open the door slightly to see if he was really a hotel employee, but he didn't look like one. He wore jeans and a T-shirt, while the people who worked in that hotel were very smartly dressed."

Then, the girl had an idea suggested to her years ago by her policeman father; if you want to get rid of strangers or potential attackers, make them believe that you are not alone at that moment...

So, the girl pretended to call to her father loudly in the room, to warn him that there were two people from the hotel who had to do some magnetic card checks; when the unknown guys realized Josie wasn't alone in the hotel room, they ran away immediately. Thanks to that clever ruse, the 19-year-old girl had averted the worst.

With her story, Josie Bowers wanted to warn not only girls of her own age, but everyone, to the danger they could run when in a hotel or home alone: if you ever find someone on the other side of the door insists on entering your room or even your home, always let them know that you are with someone!
