The man is called Otha Anders, he is a former teacher from Louisiana and for 45 years he collected and brought home all the coins he found on the street or in other public places; a pastime that over the years has become not only an obsession but also an unexpected way to put aside a fortune that over time would have given him an incredible and unexpected surprise ...

Otha Anders has collected all possible and imaginable pennies found on the street, but also had some donated by other people, putting them all in 15 plastic containers of about 20 liters each: if he had started to count them, how much would he have saved?

The fact is that this ex-Louisiana teacher continued to put all these coins aside for 45 years so, curious to understand how much he had earned in all that time, in 2015 he went to the Ruston Origin Bank and there the bank employees could not believe their eyes: the old man had presented himself with 15 20-liter containers full of coins collected over all those years!

After having meticulously counted every single penny, the Bank of Ruston gave its incredible response: Otha Anders had unwittingly put aside a mountain of coins which added up to the total amount of $5,136.14!

Otha Anders himself was incredulous: "I have never allowed anyone, not even my wife or children, to give me pennies to save without them being rewarded for this gesture. I wanted to have the inner satisfaction that God and I have put this collection aside together!"

We certainly do not know if it was a divine signal, but we can say that more than $5,000 is not a small sum at all: well done Otha!
