We've all heard about parents inheriting superpower-like strength when their child is in danger, but what about the other way around? Children are usually the first to offer their parents comfort when they are upset, so rescuing them from danger doesn't seem like such a far-fetched idea. In fact, we even have proof to show that it's possible!

Allison, a 5-year-old girl, did what any grownup would do to save her mother. When Tracy fainted and fell into their inground pool, Allison jumped in and saved her.

The entire incident happened in a matter of seconds. Allison and Tracy were enjoying a nice relaxing day with Tracy's sister, in her backyard, beside the pool. When Tracy entered the pool, she took a couple steps, let out a painful gasp, and then fainted. For what seemed like an eternity, the woman fell face down into the water and had no possibility of getting the air she so desperately needed.

Without giving it a second thought, Allison jumped into the pool, swam to her mother, and pulled her with all her might to the shallow end of the pool. Once she reached the shallow end, she turned her mother right-side-up, made sure she was breathing, and ran inside her aunt's house to call for help.

Allison's aunt called immediately the paramedics and, once awake in the hospital, Tracy didn't even remember what happened. When her sister told her about the incident, Tracy couldn't believe what her daughter did to save her life. At only 5 years old, Allison knew exactly what to do to keep her mother from drowning.

The entire scene was caught on the camera Tracy's sister keeps in her backyard. It didn't take long for the video to become viral and for Allison to become an internet sensation. Allison is just one example of what children are capable of doing. Most of the time, they are just fun to be around. Given the right scenario, however, they might just save our lives one day. Way to go Allison, and keep being courageous!
