Coronavirus: after 51 years of marriage, this couple die within 6 minutes of each other

Stuart and Adrian Baker were an elderly couple from Boynton Beach that were always thought to be the spitting image of health for their age. At 74 and 71 years old, respectively, they had already been together for over 51 wonderful years. Neither one of them imagined they'd spend the remainder of their golden years fighting for their lives against the Coronavirus. When March 2020 rolled around, however, they both started experiencing flu-like symptoms that would later cause them to be hospitalized.

The first one to get sick was Stuart; it didn't take long, however, before Adrian was experiencing similar symptoms. They first consulted their doctor, who advised them to go to the hospital if their symptoms started getting worse. A few days later, they decided it was time to go to the emergency room. The staff at the hospital, however, advised them to go home and self-quarantine, given their symptoms weren't so severe.

A few more days passed, and it seemed like Stuart and Adrian's conditions were finally improving. Then, they started experiencing respiratory issues. Stuart was the first to be hospitalized, but it didn't take long for Adrian to join him in intensive care. At first, they were put in separate rooms, but their son, Buddy Baker, convinced the hospital staff to put them in the same room together. By the end of the day, both Stuart and Adrian were dead; they died within 6 minutes of each other.

Perhaps their desire to be together when they died kept them alive for as long as they were apart. It's a tragedy to hear of two healthy people (despite their advanced age) pass away so quickly from the Coronavirus. At least we can find some comfort in the fact that Stuart and Adrian held on long enough to be together when they died.
