The parent-child relationship is certainly one of the most complex to deal with, due to all the contradictions that characterize it. It is a special relationship which has always been a source of great debate. What is certain, however, is that a good parent would do anything for their child: to see them fulfilled and happy is the goal of every self-respecting mom and dad. The child, on the other hand, if they have received the right up-bringing, will know and, above all, will feel the desire to "repay" those efforts. Unfortunately, there are cases where children do not respect in the least what a parent does or has done for them; this is the case involving Mrs. Josefa Cala Caro, 74, forced to leave her home after her children changed the lock on the front door.

It seems absolutely absurd that the state has not moved a finger to protect Mrs. Josefa, who found herself "on the street" overnight. As can be read from the sorrowful words of Mrs Josefa, her 5 children (4 of them in particular) would seem to have taken advantage of her hospitalization to change the lock at her home. Since then, 1 year has passed: 1 year in which the woman has not had access to her home and her belongings. Desperate, the woman has denounced her 4 children, with the support of her youngest daughter and the rest of her family.

Justice, however, is slow to run its course and while the woman waits for the judges to make a decision, she sees herself deprived of her fundamental rights. It is paradoxical that the occupants are almost more protected than Mrs Josefa, who had to suffer eviction.

Ms. Josefa hopes that her story will also give a voice to those in the same situation; it doesn't matter that it was your children who sent you away from home or strangers - the fact is that it can happen to anyone.

It seems absurd but it is happening. If you want to help Ms. Josefa to return to her home, you can sign the Change petition.
