Neighbors said that they had heard an extremely loud explosion and called 911, media sources reported.

The neighbors ran to the house to see if they could help the Feaser family get out of the burning building and immediately saw the dog Maxx in action as he ran directly to the scene displaying his great courage!

This time Maxx was ready to save his own family as in the past he had helped others to save themselves in dangerous situations.

Seminole County Sheriff's Office Deputy Dennis Lemma told WFTV9 News, "We are so proud of Maxx, he is a retired police dog!"

All four family members were rescued by the firefighters with the courageous dog's help and are in stable condition.

Maxx was also briefly treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns at a local veterinary clinic, and fortunately, he is safe and sound and has fully recovered.

Great job, Maxx! It seems in fact that this brave dog has not forgotten how to serve and protect citizens, but this time he helped save his own human family. Once a hero always a hero!
