In the summer, one spends more time outdoors, often engaging in activities such as gardening or simply going for walks in nature.

Although these are definitely pleasant pastimes, even in these situations, one must be cautious, because insidious threats are always lurking when you least expect them.

Specifically, we are talking about ticks. These parasitic pests are not only annoying but also harmful to our health, but they can be kept away by using absolutely natural methods.

The main reason why ticks are so dangerous is their ability to become a vehicle for the transmission of numerous pathogens and one among many for which they are responsible is the dreaded Lyme disease.

This disease manifests itself in symptoms such as powerful migraine headaches, skin rashes, fevers, joint pains, and damage to the nervous and cardiovascular systems.

Fortunately, in most cases, Lyme disease can be treated and cured with antibiotic treatment cycles. To shield yourself from the danger of being bitten by ticks, you can protect yourself with chemical substances that can be purchased in drug stores.

However, even using this form of precaution, one does not have a full guarantee of not being attacked and infected by ticks or other pests.

As if this were not enough, it has been noted that many of the products that are normally sold to discourage and eliminate ticks, in turn, have far from pleasant side effects.

In fact, among the active ingredients contained in these pharmacological mixtures are elements that can cause diarrhea, cancer or disorders of the nervous system.

That said, you should not despair, because it is sufficient to use a mixture of different types of essential oils to create a biological repellent that is harmless and above all functional.

The essential oils to be mixed and applied on your body are eucalyptus, lavender, witch hazel, citronella, and rosemary.

Although the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has not officially approved or declared that this mix is safe and infallible, it has been tested empirically with considerable success.
