Hair loss is often due to a lack of vitamins, so here are the essential ones to keep your hair healthy and strong!

July 16, 2019 • By Shirley Marie Bradby

Hair loss can have different causes, including a genetic predisposition, stress, an illness, or the side effects of drugs, but also diet deficiencies.

Therefore, in this article we will specifically deal with this last aspect, indicating remedies to counter the phenomenon of hair loss by adopting a different dietary regime.

In fact, in some cases, it is sufficient to choose the right foods to naturally add specific vitamins to your diet. Here are the ones you need and where they can be found in the food on your table!

  • Folic acid. Contained in cereals and honey, it helps the body in the process of cell regeneration, and therefore, also in the growth of new hair.
  • Vitamin E. Present in vegetables, olive oil, and nuts; it has the ability to improve blood flow also in the scalp.
  • Vitamin A. Zucchini, carrots, peaches, mangoes, and dairy products have a high content of this essential nutrient that functions as an anti-aging elixir for the hair.
  • Vitamin B7 (Biotin). Cauliflower, beans, and walnuts are particularly rich in this nutrient. In fact, it specifically helps to counteract the fragility and dryness of the hair bulb.

  • Vitamin C. It can be found in cabbage, potatoes, citrus fruits, and bell peppers. It increases the absorption of other substances and accelerates hair growth.

Health and beauty, go hand in hand and a person in perfect condition shows evident signs of good health, also externally, with smooth skin, a healthy complexion, and thick and luminous hair.

Starting from there, we must always remember that our hair is not only a precious aesthetic element but it is also an effective indicator of the general state of our psychophysical well-being.

When our hair loses its tone and shine or starts to thin out, then it means that something is not right and the proper measures must be taken!

An alternative can certainly be the now widespread vitamin and food supplements that can be purchased in drugstores, but these are still manufactured products, and they are absolutely not essential if one eats well.

In fact, the expression "food supplement" itself means something that aims to fill in for something that is either missing or that cannot be compensated easily or naturally.

Fortunately, the human body under normal conditions can get all that it needs from food and water, anything else is just superfluous because beyond a certain amount the body expels the vitamins it cannot physiologically absorb.

It is infinitely better to focus on a balanced diet and resort to drugs only in the situations and contexts where they are absolutely necessary.
