If in the evening, even if you are tired, you still find it difficult to fall asleep and end up spending most of the night awake, unable to sleep, almost certainly the cause is psychological. Clearly, something has upset you.

Therefore, it is useless to hope to solve the problem with pharmaceutical products; rather, you should try to understand the source of so much stress and agitation, starting from one of the places where you spend most of the day: at work. 

A study by Portland State University states that the relationship with colleagues can significantly influence the quality and quantity of sleep.

The research, conducted by the psychology professor Charlotte Fritz and published in the journal Occupational Health Science, has highlighted the extreme susceptibility of the brain to negative stimuli, which is why imprudent jokes or improper behavior are more imprinted than what is perceived as positive.

This means that if you have the misfortune of working with noisy, sarcastic, and unfriendly colleagues, the memory of their unpleasant gestures and words accompanies us all the way home, under the covers, and torments our sleep.

The effect of these bad working relationships is so strong that it sometimes also affects the partner's sleep, especially if they also work in the same sector; in this case, in fact, they can better understand the annoyance that that colleague gives you, to the point of feeling it as their own, and "absorbing it" by osmosis. However, it is also true that the partner, in this hypothesis, can prove to be a valuable support to find a solution to the problem. 

On the other hand, the employer also plays a decisive role in ending any kind of negative or destructive attitudes among the employees. In fact, through a zero tolerance policy, the employer should reprimand anyone who disturbs the peace in the working environment. After all, spending most of the day in an increasingly hostile workplace certainly does not favor productivity.
