A banana peel, however, before being disposed of, can be used on many different occasions --- from whitening teeth to fertilizing the soil.

Knowing how beneficial a simple banana peel can be will make you re-evaluate it!

The nutrients contained in banana peels (vitamin C, E, potassium, zinc, iron, and manganese) help to restrain the development of wrinkles. Here's how you can use it to keep your skin smooth: 

Place the banana peel on the skin area to be treated and leave it for 30 minutes, even better if overnight. 
Rinse the skin and moisturize it. 
Repeat the treatment three times a week.

Decomposing banana peels in the soil means enriching it with calcium, magnesium, sulfur, phosphates, potassium, and sodium. All of these nutrients are beneficial for plants that need rich soil to grow well.

Spread the pieces near the plants or the place where you are going to plant them. 
Water the plants to let the banana skins settle in the ground.

  • Brush and rinse your teeth as usual
