Italian Espresso Coffee Maker Hacks!
December 30, 2016
For many, coffee is something that they cannot do without during the day.
In general, a coffee break is much more than just drinking something hot! In fact, you stretch your legs, take a break from work or from studying, or it is simply an excuse to relax a few minutes.
However, the most important thing is to do it well! Certainly, the taste depends greatly on the Moka pot that is used, but not entirely --- there are some tricks that help make a great cup of expresso coffee.
First of all, forget the packaged ground coffee and preferably use coffee beans to be ground when needed with a grinder.
Pay attention to the rubber gasket. It must be white, otherwise the time to change it has arrived. A new gasket costs only a few cents and it ensures you an irresistible aroma.
Coffee is made up of 98% water and it is important to choose the right kind of water. Use bottled water and not tap water.
It is said that the taste of a cup of expresso coffee in Naples, Italy is due precisely to the particular chemical composition of the water in that city!
Heat the water you will be using in a small pan and turn off the heat before it starts to boil. Heating the water is necessary so that the ground coffee remains the shortest possible time exposed to the stovetop heat.
Fill the heating vessel with water until it reaches the level of the valve.
The coffee grounds are placed in the funnel up to the rim. Without applying pressure, use the blade of a knife to remove any excess ground coffee.
Make the coffee with the lid open and close it only when you start to hear the characteristic bubbling noise, which indicates that the coffee is done.
For drinking, prefer porcelain or china cups that keep the coffee hot and exalt the flavor and aroma.
Now we will leave in peace to drink your delicious coffee made with an Italian Moka pot!
