A man "falls" into the water --- and the elephant?!

Elephants are excellent swimmers and spend many hours of the day immersed in water.

What happens in this video is amazing! The incident was filmed inside an animal shelter in northern Thailand called Elephant Nature Park, and shows an extraordinary rescue by a small female elephant. 

Believing that one of the animal shelter's volunteers was drowning, the small female elephant promptly dived into the water and approaching him used her trunk to help him get back to shore. Certainly, this training that could prove very useful!
