By regularly performing the Plank exercise, it is possible to sculpt abdominal muscles and strengthen the spine

If you think that time passes too quickly, you have probably never tried this exercise! It is an exercise position called the plank, which consists of raising the body horizontally and sustaining this position supported only by the forearms and toes.

The Women Daily Magazine has come up with their idea of a 28-day program, requiring only a few seconds each day, that promises to deliver significant benefits in regards to strength and fitness.

In particular, this program sculpts your abs, strengthens the back muscles that help to maintain correct posture, and it is also a great workout for the legs.

All these fantastic results just by remaining in one position!

They call it the "Plank Challenge" program --- in 28 days you should be able to stay in this position for four minutes. Here is the proposed program schedule:

Days 1-2: 20 seconds

Days 3-4: 30 seconds

Day 5: 40 seconds

Day 6: Rest

Days 7-8: 45 seconds

Days 9-11: 60 seconds

Day 12: 90 seconds

Day 13: Rest

Days 14-15: 90 seconds

Days 16-17: 120 seconds

Day 18: 150 seconds

Day 19: Rest

Days 20-21: 150 seconds

Days 22-23: 180 seconds

Day 24: 210 seconds

Day 25: Rest

Day 26: 210 seconds

Day 27: 240 seconds ... (4 minutes!)

Day 28: Till you drop!
