Here's how to get rid of 'orange peel' textured walls in a jiffy!

In the 1960s and 1970s, it was very trendy and fashionable to have "orange peel textured" walls, which were characterized by a very rough-looking surface. Most of the walls were treated with this "orange peel" effect because it was also believed to offer benefits from an acoustic point of view by helping to soundproof environments such as apartments and offices.

However, today's construction techniques and building materials have changed from those of that time, and now even better results can be obtained without necessarily having an ancient-looking wall. To remove the textured effect easily, there is a specially-built machine, which is based on the creation of a vacuum, that detaches the projecting elements leaving a normal smooth surfaced ceiling.
