The orchid mantis is an insect with amazing camouflage skills. Already just ten days after birth, they assume the ornate white color that allows them to blend in among the various species of orchid flowers.

Thanks to this ability the orchid mantis is able to take their prey by surprise when these unsuspecting insects land on an orchid attracted by its flower pollen. 

Furthermore, their ability to camouflage themselves allows them to hide from other predators living in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, which is one of the most hostile environments in the world.
