He wanted to criticize and make a statement about public institutions while at the same time paying homage to the Czech Republic's best-known author, Kafta with a very particular public sculpture representing Kafta's head.

Consequently, the Czech sculptor David Černý created a revolving head in front of the Prague City Hall Square! His incredible sculpture is a rotating 42-layer structure weighing 39 tons reproducing Kafta's head, always in a state of change or "metamorphosis".

The controversial rotating sculpture of Kafta's head serves to remind the citizens of Prague of Kafta whenever they feel frustrated by the general incompetence of government employees!
