A man saves over one thousand dogs from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival!

Every year during the summer solstice, the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in Yulin, Guangxi, China, returns to shock the whole world with its brutal tradition of torturing and killing thousands of dogs.

Before being slaughtered, the dogs and cats are subjected to various horrible practices such as first being packed into tight wire cages, then burned to remove their hair, and finally thrown into pots of boiling water . . . usually while still alive!

The Chinese-American activist Marc Ching has been fighting for years against this situation, and with a group of activists has saved more than a thousand dogs destined for slaughter. Hopefully, some attention will be given to this terrible practice internationally and also internally in China, on a domestic level.
