A bus driver sees a man who is robbing an old woman: he stops the vehicle and gives chase
In the right place, at the right time: how many times have we spoken or thought these words? Everyone in life has found themselves in situations where timing and a lucky chance really made a difference.
This was also the case for the war veteran bus driver who is the protagonist of the story we are about to tell you, a man who, in Hungary, managed to thwart the robbery of an elderly woman, courageously intervening in a situation that, for her could have proved to be really problematic.

His name is Zsolt Kis Karoly and he drives bus number 21 to Miskolc in Hungary every day. This episode he starred in happened on an ordinary working morning like many others for him, on his usual route. It is precisely in those moments of calm and tranquility, however, that the most unexpected events often happen. On the side of the road, in fact, Zsolt could not help but notice a man chasing an old woman with a stick in his hand.
It didn't take long for the driver to understand what was going on: it was clearly an attempted robbery, with the thug trying to steal her bag from the woman and she was resisting the attack. Without hesitation, Zsolt stopped the bus in the middle of the road, got out and drove the thief away from the woman, chasing him away into a nearby park. Overwhelmed and surprised, the offender could not help but run away, while the driver immediately got the old woman on board his vehicle, frightened and confused but fortunately not injured.
The entire scene was recorded by the bus's security cameras, and from the video it is possible to see perfectly all the calm and courage that this man was able to show in intervening in defense of a weak person. The police later managed to identify the attacker, a 27-year-old who faces heavy charges.
It is not the first time, according to what he said, that Zsolt has faced such a situation. By working on public transport on the street, after all, you can really experience all kinds of events. It is comforting, however, to know that there are people so brave that they do not hesitate for a moment to get involved in helping their neighbor: surely the world needs generous gestures like the one made by this driver!
