7 bad habits that make people age before their time! Here is what to avoid to stay young!
We all know that getting older is a process that is as natural as it is inevitable. Our body is constantly aging and the inexorable passage of time becomes visible sooner or later.
Whether it is a small sudden pain, the appearance of white hair or a wrinkle on our face, our body changes with age.
Despite this, there is no need to despair because, with some small adjustments, it is possible to maintain our youth longer by delaying and preventing aging.
We just need to have willpower and to "love ourselves" more by developing healthy habits while at the same time avoiding other habits that can negatively affect our appearance.
In fact, it is precisely these bad habits that we want to talk to you about. Beyond the help that cosmetic products can give, here are the things that we can avoid doing if we want to keep the signs of the passing of time at bay for as long as possible.
1. Having too many worries
Our emotions, health, and physical appearance are closely related. Stress not only causes negative effects on our psyche but can also cause illnesses. If we react to every problem as if it is a real catastrophe, we can develop cognitive and cardiovascular disorders, as well as unsightly wrinkles on our face and skin ...
2. Not taking care of your skin properly
It is okay to apply beauty products and make-up daily, but you must also remember to remove these products properly from your face and body at the end of the day. By doing so, you eliminate a potential source of dirt and germs and let your skin "breathe" which has a positive effect and reduces the signs of aging.
3. Not sleeping enough
This may seem obvious, but for many people, it is not. However, sleep influences, and by a lot, how much we actually age. Sleeping poorly and badly causes the formation of so-called "bags" under the eyes and dark circles. Moreover, not getting enough sleep is certainly not healthy or beneficial for our cognitive faculties. Experts recommend sleeping between 7 and 8 hours a day and if possible, without interruption.
4. Not getting enough physical exercise
The lack of regular physical activity is one of those bad habits that need to be corrected, first and foremost, if we want to remain fit and "young". Being too sedentary means being more exposed to stress, anxiety, cardiovascular disease, and skin problems. Not to mention that exercising regularly - and properly - also means losing weight, increasing muscle tone, and promoting a better physical appearance.
This is also a bad habit that we hear about all too often. It is good, however, to reiterate that smoking is definitely not a friend to your health. By smoking, you put your health at risk, in the medium and long term, and the signs of aging manifested by a heavy smoker can become quite evident, especially on the skin.
6. Rubbing your eyes
This may come as a surprise to you. And yet, by rubbing our eyes, we risk weakening the collagen and elasticity of this area of the face, where the skin is very delicate and sensitive. This can give rise to small wrinkles which, over time, can increase in size.
7. Not eating well
It is said that "we are what we eat", and this is not far from the truth! Saturated fats, processed food, and irregular eating habits --- these are all things that do us absolutely no good. Food can help us stay young longer, but it must be healthy and nutritious. Fruits and vegetables, cereals, lean meats, fish, and olive oil, for example, are all foods that fight free radicals and prevent the deterioration of our body.
After all, it takes very little to reduce the signs of premature aging. Are you willing to change some of your habits to improve your lifestyle and your appearance? The desired results will not be slow in coming! Moreover, you will certainly look and feel much better!
