Every year most of us look forward to the arrival of summer which, with good weather, finally gives us many days full of sunshine.

But as in most things that are positive and beautiful, we must also consider the other side of the coin! In fact, along with the arrival of the summer season, the nightmare of insects also arrives!

Therefore, we have to decide: "Do we keep the window open because it's too hot?" And then, get ready to fight with what could be numerous insects ready to enter our living areas?

Many resort to toxic products to remove the various ants, bees, and mosquitoes, while others decide to install mosquito nets on the windows and still others resort to the classic anti-mosquito "platelets".

Instead, here we want to introduce you to some natural remedies that we hope will help you defeat even the most stubborn insects.

It seems that the smell of vinegar is not particularly liked by insects and therefore appears to be the right ingredient for a 100% natural remedy. 

What do you need? Water, vinegar, and a spray bottle. Simply mix the water and vinegar in the bottle to obtain a mixture that, when sprayed around the windows, will remove unwelcomed guests.

Would you prefer not to use the classic insect repellent oils and lotions found on the market? Well, lemon is another natural ingredient that keeps mosquitoes away.

Yes, just try using a nice fragrant lemon! Simply cut the lemon in half and rub it on doors and windows - it will help you to remove even the spiders, who hate the smell of citrus fruit.

Another trick to get rid of some intrusive insects, especially spiders, is to use cedar wood shavings. You can put a few pieces in the cupboard, or in the garden or directly in your closet.

For the latter, in particular, you can purchase clothes hangers made of cedar wood; in this way, the risk of finding spiders in your closet is almost impossible!

If you really cannot get rid of the hideous spiders that invade cupboards or, worse still, the rooms in your house, then you can resort to peppermint.

Just add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to dish detergent and spray the solution obtained in the most critical points of your house. 

With these simple tricks to ward off insects from home, you will return to enjoying the summer season without any worries.
