Each person is made up of energies that constantly seek their balance.

What happens externally and one's interaction with others influences this exchange, generating well-being or causing harm.

There are individuals made of light and joy and others who are bearers of negativity who emit harmful vibrations. One of the most insidious and difficult energies to recognize is envy.

Here are some suggestions for succeeding in conducting a more serene life that come directly from His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

  • Always choose the path of peace. While interacting with people, it is inevitable that conflicts and misunderstandings will arise. Rather than pursuing the path of confrontation, both physical and verbal, it is better to try the path of dialogue and of understanding. You defeat your enemies when you make them your friend. Moreover, this produces balance and well-being.
  • Accept things with tranquility. It is okay to try to achieve your goals, but do not feel defeated when you do not reach them. If it is true that things happen for a reason, then, the same is true when things do not happen.

  • The strongest voice is silence. Responding to and arguing with an envious person only feeds anger and conflict. To block the negative flow, just breathe deep and say nothing.
  • Positive thinking, serene heart. The mind is the body and vice versa, external situations must not cloud our inner joy. The best medicine for the soul is to prevent external evil from overshadowing emotional happiness.

  • Get rid of toxic people. Some individuals have the ability to suck away other people's energies. They tend to constantly complain and inflict their problems, prejudices, and mental garbage on others. For your own wellbeing, you must avoid giving them space by taking the necessary measures to distance yourself from them.
  • Avoid yielding to anger. An envious and insidious attitude causes distress and generates agitation. Never allow yourself to display any reaction that will give envious and insidious people the satisfaction of being able to make you lose control. Remember: Anger is bad for one's health.
