Underlying this Japanese method are two qualities that, if you already have or are able to acquire them, will make you a better person also in other areas of life. We are talking about consistency and patience. Here's how to proceed ...

1) Remove some money from your wallet every night.

Every night, before going to sleep, remove some money from the total amount you have in your wallet.  For example, if you have $132 (€113.41), put $32 (€27.50) in a safe (or under the mattress, in a drawer or where you prefer) and leave the $100 in the wallet. You have to consider those 32 dollars (€27.50) as if they had been lost. They do not exist, and for no reason should you use them. Be consistent with your promise.

This trick works with amounts of any type, even if you take out a total of only a few dollars.

The advice is also to use credit cards as little as possible because they make us lose sight of how much money we have actually spent.

2) Every time you receive your salary remove a part of it.

The same action that you do every night, you have to do it every time you receive your salary.

For example, if you receive $1000 (€858), do not immediately go out for dinner or go shopping! Remove an amount, big or small, according to your choice. For example, you could decide to subtract $100 (€85) from the total amount and add it to the amount that you remove from your wallet every day.

To test this very effective method you can try it for a month. You will be amazed at how much money you can set aside without making too much of an effort. The problem is that the more money we have with us the more we spend! This solution is a trick invented by the Japanese to save money in no time, and it works!
