A Beautiful Kinetic Chandelier Exhibition!

The Riks museum in Amsterdam has realized an art exhibition that is as unique as it is hypnotic!

In fact, a team of designers wanted to recreate what in nature is called the nyctinastic phenomenon, namely a responsive movement of plants to light stimuli that cause the extension or opening of plant leaves and flowers during the day and their refolding or closing during the night.

To recreate this natural phenomenon, the designers constructed a chandelier system that allows lamps made of silk fabric to rise and close and then to fall and open rhythmically. Absolutely fascinating!
