Wild dogs are tireless animals that can count on a formidable individual strength and on the incredibly well-organized and coordinated cooperation of the entire pack when it hunts its prey. These qualities allow small wild dogs to track and kill much larger prey, including small elephants.

However, in doing so, the wild dogs have to contend with another equally powerful herd instinct: that of the huge pachyderms, for which even the life of a single baby elephant is crucial and must be protected at all costs; therefore, the avid wild dogs are successfully kept at bay!
