It doesn't happen every day that you find a wallet or money laying in the street, but when it does happen, you are always faced with a great temptation: pocket the money. Of course, there is nothing that could be more wrong to do, as the money belongs to someone who simply had the misfortune of accidentally losing it. Thankfully, the world is still full of good people.

Randi Axelrad, a retired school counsellor, had lost an envelope containing $ 70 - a reimbursement for the grocery shopping she had evidently already paid to someone. The envelope had fallen as the woman walked through a park and, fortunately, remained unnoticed until the next morning an honest person, Kim DeRosa, picked it up.

On the mysterious envelope was clearly written "For Shopping" and it was obvious that the money had just been given to someone. When Kim DeRosa came across the white envelope with $ 70 in it, she already knew she would never keep it, no matter how much money it contained. She went home and posted a short message on the Westfield Facebook group (currently no longer visible): "I just found an envelope with cash in it in Tamaques Park," wrote the woman and then added "if you've lost an envelope, send me a private message! It's safe in my home." Many users thanked her for her show of honesty and reiterated how comforting it was to discover that there were still honest people in their community.

Randi Axelrad contacted DeRosa after reading that post, confident that the envelope was her own. After confirming some information and giving details only the owner would know, Kim returned the envelope to Randi.

"Kim kindly put my envelope in another one with my name on," said Axelrad. Then she added: "I opened her envelope and then mine and everything was as it should be. I offered her a cash reward to thank her for finding and returning the money I had lost, but she refused to accept it. I was, and still am, full of emotions of joy for her good deed! ".

When we hear this type of news it is truly impossible not to regain some faith in humanity!
