In a period where spending all of our time at home has become the new normal, perhaps one of the activities that can help us pass the time is putting our cooking skills to the test. Many of us have probably been trying out those time-consuming recipes we usually save for Thanksgiving and Christmas. After all, time is not a problem for any of us right now. What if we said, however, there's a quick and easy recipe worth trying out? All you need is some zucchini and a pinch of salt. It's that simple!

Zucchini chips are a delicious and healthy snack that is so easy to prepare, you won't even have to double-check the recipe. You need only the following ingredients: 

  • 5-6 zucchini 
  • a pinch or two of salt 

Wash the zucchini and, once dry, cut them into very fine circles. Leave them to rest on a piece of parchment paper or a thin cloth for 2 hours. Once the allotted time has passed, set your oven to about 210°f (100°c). Before moving on to the next step, make sure the pieces of zucchini are completely dry.

If completely dry, place the zucchini in a baking pan and spinkle a pinch or two of salt over them. Then, put them in the oven for about 30 to 45 minutes. The amount of time the zucchini slices have to stay in the oven depends on how thick you sliced them. Thinner slices will take less time while thicker ones will obviously take more. 

Make sure you keep an eye on them while they bake. The best way to gauge whether they are ready is by looking at their appearance. If they are crisp and golden in color, it's a good indication that they are done. If they are still on the "white" side, they could use a little more time in the oven. This side dish is perfect for party guests or kids. No matter how old you are, you'll definitely enjoy this tasty snack!
