This is what happens to your body if you eat three dates per day

Dates are the fruits of a particular type of palm tree typical of Mediterranean Africa and Western Asia that lives for over three hundred years, producing up to 50 pounds (22 kg) of dates each year.

Known since antiquity for their many beneficial properties, dates contain valuable nutrients vital for the well-being of the human body.

First the minerals: Calcium, sulfur, iron, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, copper, and magnesium. Not to mention the vitamins: A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, K and let's also not forget their fiber content.

Dates are, in short, pure concentrates of good health! In fact, eating only three dates per day you can enjoy the following benefits.

1. Immediate energy recharge: Dates, thanks to their natural sugar content about 1 oz (30 gr) per 3.5 oz (100 gr of dates) as fructose, dates are a source of energy for the body. Consume them at breakfast, in smoothies or in Granola, or as a snack in the middle of the day.

2. Red blood cell regenerator: Dates make an important contribution in the fight against anemia, as they contain a considerable amount of iron.

3. Help for the liver: Research has shown that these fruits are a valuable support for the liver.

4. Proper functioning of the digestive system: Fresh dates contain a fair amount of fiber, which can improve bowel regularity in the presence of constipation because they draw water into the digestive tract. Also, the potassium in dates is effective against stomachache and diarrhea.

5. Contributes to cardiovascular health: The potassium content in dates reduces the risk of stroke, as well as the levels of LDL (low-density lipoprotein) because it controls the heart rate, blood pressure, and the hydroelectrical balance in our body.

6. Natural Painkiller and Antinflammatory: The magnesium contained in dates relieves pain and swelling. Moreover, dates also have anti-inflammatory properties and eating them is also associated with a lower production of pro-inflammatory molecules such as COX-2.

7. Cancer Prevention: Dates, thanks to their content of magnesium, manganese, and selenium, may help prevent certain types of cancers, such as colon cancer and breast cancer, and seem to reduce the levels of toxicity caused by chemotherapy.

8. Improve brain function: Rich in vitamin B6 and magnesium, dates contribute to the proper functioning of the brain, by increasing the power of recollection, and are therefore recommended specifically for elderly people to help prevent further memory loss.
