Thanks to this small trick you will not miss the right moment to take your steak off the stove or fire! This trick is very simple! It consists of touching an area of your hand and then touching the steak.

The area to be touched is always the same  --- just under the thumb of your left hand. If you combine thumb and index you will know the parameter of the consistency of a rare (uncooked) steak.

Then, if you touch your thumb and your middle finger together then the steak consistency will be medium rare and if you touch your thumb and your small finger together then you will have a steak that is well-done!
