In this video, we show you how to grow your own lemon tree from a simple lemon seed. First of all, you need to remove the lemon seeds from the lemon fruit, then gently open the shell casing that covers the lemon seeds.

Next, place the lemon seeds on a damp kitchen paper towel and insert the damp paper towel into a plastic ziplock bag and store it in a dark and warm place for about seven days.

After a week, when you open it you will notice that small roots have sprouted from the lemon seeds! Now, it is time to plant the sprouted seeds and cover them with moist soil.

NB: With this method, you will not grow a tree that produces lemon fruits, but probably only the wild flowering plant species; to produce lemon fruits you will have to graft the lemon plant.
