The good news is that for some plants this is enough. Today, we will learn how to grow ginger at home, conveniently in a plant container. You can follow the process of growing ginger together with your children and get their help with taking care of the plant and they, like you, will be happily surprised to see the birth of new ginger roots. Start by putting several ginger roots, which you can easily find in a supermarket, in water for three to four hours.

Wipe the excess water off the ginger roots with a towel, then put the roots in a plastic bag for a week, to make them sprout in a humid environment.

A week later, the ginger roots will have new shoots. Now, it is time to plant them in well-drained soil and be careful to leave the tips uncovered.

Choose a plant container that has holes in the bottom to let the water drain out. Water the soil without wetting the roots and always keep the soil moist.
