Many people keep a bottle of rubbing alcohol in their medicine cabinet without having a clear idea about its use and how many ways it can be used.

No problem, we will take care of that by illustrating ten different ways to use this product! In fact, in some cases, after you have seen what rubbing alcohol can do, you will never want to use anything else!

First of all, you should know that rubbing alcohol consists of 97.5-100% denatured ethyl alcohol, and even if it is true that it cannot be used for making drinks, nevertheless, we can surely find other ways to use it.

1) Remove ticks. Spray the part where the insect is attached and then massage in the rubbing alcohol with a piece of cotton, then immediately remove the insect with a pair of tweezers (be careful not to break the tick in two leaving one part inside and the other outside --- if this happens, please contact a doctor or veterinarian).

2) Relief from mosquito bites. Rub the mosquito bite with a cotton swab drenched with rubbing alcohol and this will immediately ease the discomfort.

3) Get rid of bed bugs. If these insects have infested your bedroom, take a spray bottle and fill it with rubbing alcohol then spray the mattress, the box spring, and the bed frame. Do this with a certain frequency to eliminate them completely. I recommend ventilating the room so that you do not go to sleep breathing the fumes of rubbing alcohol.

4) Remove stains. Mix two parts of water and one of rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and shake. Once ready, spray the mixture on the stain and rub it with a cloth or paper towels.

5) Deodorize sneakers. Just spray some rubbing alcohol every night in your sneakers and put them in a ventilated place. Repeat this procedure daily and your shoes will no longer smell bad.

6) Eliminate the smell of garlic from your hands. If you have been cooking and the smell of garlic does not seem to want to leave your hands, just put some rubbing alcohol on your hands and then rinse with soap and water.

7) Relieve muscle pain. Massage your sore muscles with alcohol to get a bit of relief.

8) Sanitize your hands. Mix one part aloe gel and two parts rubbing alcohol and rub your hands with this mixture. In this way, you will no longer have to buy expensive sanitizing gel. If you wish, you can also prepare a handy portable bottle to carry around.

9) Reduce cold sores. Rub the affected area with pure rubbing alcohol to get immediate improvement.

10) Clean eyeglasses/sunglasses. Just spray some rubbing alcohol on the eyeglasses and rub with a piece of microfiber cloth to clean them to perfection.
