Major exceeds 7 ft (2 m) in height when he stands up on his hind legs, weighs 167 lb (76 kg) and sleeps for 22 hours a day.
He is only 3 years old but he has already got the numbers to join the Guinness Book of Records! His owners say that Major, despite his size, would not hurt a fly.
Major's diet is exceptional --- rice and chicken is his favorite dish! Even his sleeping bed is not like that of other dogs, Major has a double mattress all for himself!
Major also has a large area at his disposal (over ten acres) because his owners run a Falconry center.
The Guinness world record has been held by other specimens of his own breed, but as of today no larger dog than Major exists.
The owners are waiting for the officialization of the Guinness record!
