Giorgio Minisini and Manila Flamini (ITA) Mixed Duet wins the gold medal

During the synchronized swimming duet competition at the World Water Sports Championships 2017 Budapest, the couple, Manila Flamini and Giorgio Minisini won a historic gold! The first in absolute for the Italian national team in a synchronized swimming mixed duet competition.

With a performance inspired by the drama of illegal immigrants arriving en masse in Italy, the two beat other competing couples thanks to a monstrous workout schedule (about 9 hours a day in the water) and thanks to their power of expression that the judges found to be very convincing.
