Until the 1960s, the concept of "going out to dance"' with friends signified having a lot of fun and a good time, but also a lot of innocence.
What for our grandparents, was the dance step of the moment, for us, today may seem to be quite banal. Yet, although their idea of choreography today seems to be practically nonexistent, it does, however, evoke a certain sense of simplicity and sweetness.
Look at how this group of teenagers performed their new dance steps during an American TV show called "American Bandstand" hosted by Dick Clark in 1964.
